New Features in Groove Agent 2
50 percent more styles
The 27 new styles encompass a broad spectrum of jaw-dropping patterns, with the hottest musical genres of the day - R&B, Bristol trip-hop, old skool hip-hop, retro rock, punk and grunge – figuring prominently in the all-new groove arsenal. Exotic styles are also on board, for instance, Bombay dance hall, Mozambique Latin, and 6/8 meter , experimental FX loops, and vintage styles featuring yesteryear’s old-but-gold analog drum computer patterns.
50 percent more drum kits and sounds
Nine new drum kits provide the fuel that stokes these fiery new styles. Tracked with top-drawer studio sets, these kits deliver the high-gloss sonic sheen it takes to make contemporary rock and pop productions sparkle. Highlights include authentic retro drum synths, novel ultra-noisy lo-fi drums, a monstrously massive metal kit, and as the icing on the cadence cake, many supplementary percussive sounds.
New output busses
Another fresh, new enhancement in Groove Agent 2 entails a set of additional output busses. They allow you to route drum tracks freely to up to eight separate stereo channels on the host application’s mixing console.
Bypass function for the playback engine
The handy new No Internal Samples button bypasses the internal playback engine at will via a simple mouse click. That’s all it takes to use Groove Agent as a MIDI player that triggers an external drum machine or virtual sampler.
New solo button for every group
Groove Agent 2 provides a dedicated solo button for every sound group, making it so much easier to audition individual drum sounds.
Optimized interface
Revamped to offer even more setting options, the hip new interface of Groove Agent 2 also affords easier access to key control features.
MIDI export function
The rhythm output of Groove Agent 2 may now be saved to an external MIDI file, irrespective of which application happens to be hosting the plug-in.
Enhanced compatibility
Groove Agent 2 now runs smoothly and painlessly with just about every standard host. Alongside VST, it supports AU, DXi and Rewire formats. And of course standalone operation is possible.
