His tour career goes back 25 years. 7-time TEC Award winning David W. Hewitt from Remote Recording is a legend in live recording. We had the chance to talk to him about his career and why he relies on Nuendo in his day to day production work.

Exclusive Preview - New Steinberg Products
Three new hardware products are presented as a technical preview at Frankfurt Musikmesse: The MR816 CSX and MR816 X Advanced Integration FireWire audio interfaces and the CC121 Advanced Integration Controller. These new products were developed by Steinberg and Yamaha and offer a previously unknown level of integration between audio hardware and Steinberg’s Cubase product. Steinberg also presents three new content sets for Sequel with dedicated loops for Rock, HipHop and Industrial.
Fernand Bos and Nuendo: audio post editing on The Pink Panther 2

His references include successful films like Cold Mountain, The Ladykillers and We Are Marshall. Currently he’s working on The Pink Panther 2 which will be released in 2009. We had the chance to talk with Fernand about his career and why Nuendo is his post production software of choice.
VirSyn releases first VST3 Plug-in
Leading German software synthesizer and virtual effect manufacturer VirSyn has today announced the worldwide first update for VST3 compatibility for a third party plug-in. With the update to version 1.1, VirSyn's Matrix Vocoder is now available as a native VST3 version for Mac OS X 10.4 and Windows XP through the VirSyn website.
NAMM Show 2008
Steinberg looks back at a highly successful 2008 NAMM Show. The most important US music instruments industry trade show took place from January 17 to January 20 2008, with thousands of musicians, producers and journalists congregating at the Anaheim Convention Center in Orange County, California. Randy Lane and Nuendo – Recording Dream Theater Live
For years, Randy Lane has been among the best-known live-engineers in the USA. Through his work with the The Spin doctors, Bush, Fuel and Three Doors Down, he has gathered a huge amount of experience in live recording situations. Currently he’s on the road with legendary progressive-metal formation Dream Theater on their 2007/2008 World Tour. Randy talked to us about his career and the experiences of using Nuendo in live-recording situations.
