Winter NAMM 2009
Steinberg delivered the goods at the 2009 Winter NAMM, the most important US music instruments industry trade show with thousands of musicians, producers and journalists congregating at the Anaheim Convention Center in Orange County, California.
This year Steinberg made a big splash by unveiling the fifth version of its flagship Cubase along with Cubase Studio 5, featuring innovative tools and functions for more creative possibilities and an even smoother workflow. But Steinberg had still more up its sleeve, showcasing its brand-new remote controller application Cubase RC for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch as well as the MR816 FireWire interfaces and CC121 USB controller which have been heaped with accolades since they were first released last year.
“I'm glad to say that NAMM hasn't lost any of its charm even in times of global recession,” remarks Jonas Baumbach, marketing coordinator at Steinberg. “We've met up with the people we needed to talk to including distributors and dealers from all over the world — the past four days have really been great! As for Cubase, it's already creating some pretty big waves of appreciation among the savvy community.”
