To strengthen our development teams in Hamburg, we are looking for a

Software Developer Pro Audio (m/f)

Your Challenge:

  • Creating software that is used by major film studios, television broadcasters, music production facilities and musicians
  • You are familiar with the specifications of AAF, MXF, OMF and EDL
  • Developing software interfaces for direct data exchange with NLE Workstations
  • Enhancing the Steinberg SDKs by addressing the requirements of commercial pro audio environments
  • Creating a smooth workflow experience by developing the link between our software and exciting control surfaces and mixing consoles from various 3rd party manufacturers
  • Self-organization and implementation of software development and coordination of all activities with regards to time, content, and technological aspects
  • Object-oriented design and implementation of software applications
  • Analysis of requirements, preparation of specifications and documentation independent of the source code
  • Ensuring high product quality and coordination of all necessary measures
  • Compliance with standards and guidelines

Your Profile:

  • Completed technical or university degree in computer science, technical computer science, communications engineering, or an equivalent qualification, and at least three years of professional experience
  • Very good understanding of the entire software life cycle
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the needs of media production facilities
  • Very good understanding of the accessing and safe use of frameworks and software development kits
  • Very good knowledge of digital music products and experience with audio technologies (including VST, ASIO, MIDI, etc.)
  • A deep understanding of programming in Visual C + + under Microsoft Windows and/or Xcode on the Apple Macintosh, as well as knowledge of smart phones and tablet (mobile) computers of different manufacturers
  • In-depth knowledge of the software platforms Windows and Mac OS. Knowledge of iOS, Android, Windows Modern UI would be an asset
  • Very good knowledge of the object-oriented design of software
  • Basic experience in working with parallelized processes (multithreading)
  • Good knowledge of the relevant processes of agile software development
