Mac OS 10.5 Leopard Compatibility
Apple has recently released a new version of its OSX operating system, 10.5. Steinberg is currently developing and testing many of its products for compatibility to Leopard, including Cubase and Nuendo, and will update customers regularly on the progress of 10.5 support for their Steinberg product.
“Leopard has just been released, which is an exciting release for us and for many Mac users,” comments Markus Stehlik, Steinberg’s Director of Engineering. “We have begun the final phase of development and testing Cubase and Nuendo for Leopard, so we’re on the home straight.
“Cubase 4.1 and Nuendo 4.1 already run on Leopard, but until further testing is completed, it is not yet officially supported. Future updates with full compatibility will be tested exhaustively with a large variety of components to ensure stability. We have set up a Knowledge Base site which will keep you up to date with progress for the 10.5 updates.”
Steinberg Mac customers can access the article here, and should check back regularly for updates to the compatibility status of their software with Leopard.
