RND Portico plug-ins announced

Steinberg is excited to announce two new top-end signal processor plug-ins, the RND Portico 5033 equalizer and RND Portico 5043 compressor. Representing the first fruits of a joint project between Yamaha, Rupert Neve Designs and Steinberg, these plug-ins bring the legendary Neve sound to your digital audio workstation — with an unprecedented modeling depth and the highest level of precision ever attained.

By combining Yamaha’s unique VCM technology with Steinberg’s expertise in plug-in development, the Portico plug-ins provide an exact digital reproduction of the acclaimed hardware originals, the Rupert Neve Designs Portico 5033 and 5043 units. Utilized by top-notch producers and sound designers the world over, the Portico processors already brought some of the most successful productions to perfection.

The RND Portico 5033 is a five-band equalizer with three full parametric filters and one band each of high and low-shelving filters. Whether applied to a single instrument track, the drum bus or the entire mix, the Portico 5033 plug-in will add the warmth and sonic finesse of the hardware original to your recordings.

The RND Portico 5043 plug-in is a professional compressor featuring two entirely different compression characteristics, feed-forward and feed-back. Incorporating the punch, warmth and clarity of its hardware counterpart, this plug-in demonstrates its full potential when it comes to uncompromising compression quality.
