Supported File Formats
Recording Formats
Nuendo 4 supports recordings in 16-, 24- and 32-bit float resolution and sampling rates up to 192 kHz. You have numerous recording formats available, from AIFF, WAV and BWAV to WAV64 for recordings which require a file size greater 2 GB due to their length or high number of channels (Surround). You can generate multi-channel recordings in all standard formats from stereo to 10.2 Surround in Interleaved or Split format. With selection of recording modes such as Normal, Merge, Replace, Keep Last und Stacked Lanes to choose from, you can optimize your workflow as you see fit. If Nuendo receives a time code signal, you can automatically ID the recorded data with time stamps. Nuendo plays files on different hard disks and even on different computers within a network simultaneously. Beyond that, you can define a separate destination for every track if the recording situation requires higher hard disk performance.
