Remote Controlling Nuendo
Nuendo provides direct support for over a dozen controllers offered by various distinguished manufacturers, offering a rich selection of options for mixing, editing and controlling transport functions via outboard gear.
Euphonix MC and System 5-MC
Euphonix’s two hardware controllers are among the most advanced available today for Nuendo. Developed in a joint effort by Steinberg and Euphonix, the optionally available EuCon adapter enables Nuendo to communicate directly with MC and System 5-MC (System 5 and Fusion via the Hybrid option). While Euphonix MC offers a fully integrated edit controller, System 5-MC is a fully-fledged mix controller - if you use a System 5 console, you will immediately feel right at home with 5-MC. Revolutionary workflow enhancers for recording, editing and mixing, both controllers give you powerful tools for tactile command in Nuendo.
WK Audio ID Controller
ID from WK Audio is a remote controller developed exclusively for Nuendo. WK Audio engineers cooperated closely with Steinberg’s developer team to develop ID and ID Edit. The result is an outstanding level of integration with Nuendo 4.
Remote Control SDK
Steinberg’s Remote Control SDK (Software Development Kit) is a fresh new technology that Steinberg shares with selected manufacturers of remote controllers. With the aid of this technology, vendors can fine-tune and perfect their products’ interfaces to Nuendo. Hardware controllers that have been tweaked for Nuendo are currently available from SmartAV and Novation. Other manufacturers have further adaptations in the works.
Generic Remote
The versatile Generic Remote function lets you set up any MIDI controller or mixing console endowed with MIDI functionality as an individual control device for Nuendo - even if Steinberg does not offer specific support for the device.
