When you’re tasked to process with MIDI data, you’re sure to enjoy the rich selection of powerful editors - Note, Key, Drum, List and Logical editors are all on board. The Note editor not only lets you edit MIDI events in the form of notes, it also boasts an impressive set of functions for professional notation and score printing.
If you wish to call on the service of outboard samplers, synthesizers, sample players, or external MIDI sound generators, by all means – go for it. The Nuendo Instrument Rack accommodates up to 64 VST instruments.
If you wish, you may use integrated MIDI effect plug-ins while playing to manipulate MIDI parameters in real time. You can choose among plugs such as the powerful Arpeggiator, MIDI Chord Processor, MIDI Compressor and Micro-Tuning, and many others. The Inplace editor lets you process MIDI data directly in the Project window in context with other tracks. Extensive quantization functions, different recording modes and SysEx data support round out the full set of MIDI features in Nuendo.
External MIDI devices are easily integrated: Nuendo lets you create multiple MIDI ports for sending and receiving regular MIDI data and transferring MTC (MIDI time code) and MMC (MIDI Machine Control).
With the MIDI Device Manager, you can control external MIDI sound generators directly from Nuendo. Alongside standard functions such as preset selection and global parameter control, the MIDI Device Manager offers potent tools for creating custom MIDI Device Maps/Panels. These comprise freely definable graphical controls that let you very handily control external MIDI devices.
