Effect Plug-ins and VST Instruments
Nuendo contains more than 40 VST plug-ins for all vital tasks in the production process, including sound-sculpting implements such dynamic signal processor and EQs, delays, reverbs and a rich set of creative sound design tools.
Beyond that, many reputable manufacturers offer native effects and virtual instruments in VST and DirectX* formats that plug into Nuendo. In addition, Nuendo supports professional DSP platforms such as PowerCore and UAD-1. Distinguished pro audio companies offer plug-ins that integrate smoothly and seamlessly into Nuendo, among them Waves, Universal Audio, SONY Oxford and TC Electronics.
Nuendo boasts a battery of special Surround plug-ins, including a Matrix Decoder and Encoder, a Surround Panner and Down-Mix plugs. Handy tools for navigating quickly among different multi-channel configurations as well as adjusting volume and aligning delay times of individual Surround channels are also part of the package.
When a project is ported to Nuendo from another system for further processing, a dummy plug-in automatically replaces any plug-ins that Nuendo lacks. If the project is opened again on the source system, the plug-ins are automatically uploaded again.
Nuendo compensates for delays throughout the signal path to ensure accurate synchronization and timing regardless of any employed plug-ins’ latency.
