The Controller solution
SMART AV Tango
SMART AV Tango is a combination of features, technology, ergonomics and quality that will blow your mind, but not your budget. Tango is real value for the audio professional and home user alike. Each of the 8 channel strips feature dedicated controls, with high quality, well laid out components that engineers love to use. Each of the 8 channels has a dedicated HOLD button, 100mm Touch Sensitive Motorized Fader, Inject Touch Point, Mute Button, Solo Touch Point and Touch Sensitive Encoder (24 DPI with Detents and a Push Button). Each channel strip extends in to an in-line touch surface of virtual controls each dedicated to the task at hand. The Smart Console Expert Panel is retained on the left of the console, with dedicated Automation and ARC modifier controls, as well as Grouping, Ergonomic Spread, Solo and Monitoring controls. The Console has a built in Mouse Pad for Workstation control, above which lie dedicated Transport and Locator buttons, a Jogger Wheel with Modifier Buttons, and dedicated Cursor and Selection buttons.
The I/O solution
RME HDSPe AES
The HDSPe AES is a short-length PCI Express card with AES/EBU interfaces. It provides eight AES inputs (16 channels) and eight AES outputs (16 channels) at 192 kHz sample rate. The card is also equipped with two MIDI I/O ports, word clock I/O, and can be used with the optional TCO module for synchronization to LTC and video The card's mainboard contains word clock I/O and a 25-pin D-sub connector, providing four AES inputs and four AES outputs via standard digital breakout cable (Tascam pinout). The word clock input is galvanically isolated via transformer and operates on Single, Double and Quad Speed signals automatically. The expansion board adds audio channels 9-16 and a connector for a MIDI breakout Cable with two MIDI I/Os (four 5-pin DIN connectors). It does not require a PCIe slot.

Nuendo Syncstation
The SyncStation is an outstanding hardware synchronizer solution for the Nuendo post- and media production system. It allows Nuendo to lock to tri-level sync, distribute word clock signals up to 192 kHz and communicate with external machines via Sony 9-pin, MMC or timecode. The unit is fully controllable from inside the Nuendo software and provides many additional features such as pull up/down, clock manipulation, GPIO interfacing and Varispeed. Engineered to offer extremely fast locking times, ultra low jitter and rock-solid operation, Nuendo SyncStation latches Nuendo into any existing studio environment.
