Vienna Symphonic Library
The innovative, research-driven music software and sample library developer based in Vienna, Austria, is constantly striving to improve on the concept of virtual orchestral music production with special regard to authenticity and ease of use. Up to now, more than 1.5 million samples have been recorded and published in several Vienna Instruments collections.
Vienna Ensemble PRO
Vienna Ensemble PRO is the first MIDI and audio LAN solution that works universally on Macs and PCs, hosting Vienna Instruments as well as third-party VST (PC) and AU (Mac) instruments and effect plug-ins. Use it as a host on the same computer as your sequencer or as a master-slave solution with multiple Macs and PCs. You can easily route the audio streams of a whole arsenal of slave computers back to your main machine. Vienna Ensemble PRO supports Steinberg’s VST3 technology and with the 64-bit version you can now load as many samples as your RAM will hold. EPIC ORCHESTRA, a customized and powerful free 9 GB orchestra sample pack with a selection of Vienna’s most popular instruments is included!
Vienna Suite
This bundle of 64-bit high-precision tools for audio processing includes nine easy-to-use plug-ins for all major 64-bit and 32-bit host platforms: Equalizer, Master Equalizer, Limiter and Multiband Limiter, Compressor, Exciter, PowerPan, Analyzer as well as Convolution Reverb. Supporting the formats AU (Mac OS X), VST/VST3 (OS X, Win), and RTAS (OS X), Vienna Suite is a universal solution for everyone who wants to shape a mix using high-end audio tools.
DVD Collections
The DVD Collections of the Vienna Instruments are the heart of a comprehensive and individually expandable orchestral library. Each DVD Collection consists of a standard and extended library and comes with a customized, intelligent software player and its award-winning “Performance Detection” feature, switching automatically between various samples and playing techniques, depending on your playing: fast or slow, legato, staccato or for instance a trill. This results in unique authenticity and an intuitive, musical workflow. All Vienna Instruments can be used stand-alone or as a VST, AU or RTAS plug-in in a sequencer software such as Cubase and Nuendo.
Vienna Special Edition (PLUS)
These two DVD Collections, including both a standard and extended library, cover the full orchestra in a resource-saving, affordable package that is also available for download. The standard library covers the most common orchestral instruments with their basic articulations. The extended library contains 35 additional instruments, including harpsicord, acoustic and electric guitar as well as the famous Vienna Konzerthaus organ. The Special Edition PLUS adds more specific articulations such as col legno, snap pizzicato, harmonics, trills or con sordino options to the instruments of the Vienna Special Edition. Expression Maps for Cubase 5 are available to download for both the Special Edition and the Special Edition PLUS.
Single Instrument Downloads
You are in the midst of a production and instantly need a solo violin, bass clarinet or that larger-than-life Hollywood sound of the eight epic horns? Provided you have internet access, a credit card, and a USB protection device (such as the eLicenser from Steinberg or the ViennaKey) you may expand your orchestra step by step at any time with our Single Instrument Downloads. Like all Vienna Instruments, the Single Instruments are available as a VST (OS X, Win), RTAS (OS X) or AU (OS X) plug-in, and also work stand-alone. VSL Expression Maps are also available for Single Instruments.
Symphonic Cube
The Symphonic Cube is the flagship of the Vienna Symphonic Library, including 10 DVD Collections and 550 GB of sampled material that covers the full timbral range of a large symphonic orchestra.
