WK Audio Controller
Developed and optimized for Nuendo. Compatible with Cubase 6.0.5 or higher.
ID-CONSOLE
ID-CONSOLE is the latest flagship by WK-AUDIO. Created in late 2009, the ID-CONSOLE is now replacing the well-known ID-CONTROLLER. Hardware and software components are identical to the ID-CONTROLLER, but a well-known international product designer created an absolutely new chassis, whereas WK-AUDIO has replaced the encoder and rotary buttons as well as the round key buttons. The third system generation includes new high-end 2x7 LCD displays with more contrast and clarity. WK Audio also created a new front panel layout for an optimized overview and workflow.
ID-CONSOLE by WK AUDIO is one of the most advanced software controllers available today. Developed in tandem with the Steinberg media production software Nuendo, ID-CONSOLE ensures unprecedented levels of integration. The unique versatility and advanced usability concept make ID-CONSOLE suitable for any audio work, including post production, music tracking, broadcast and sound design.
Dedicated buttons for direct access to the groundbreaking Nuendo automation system as well as user-definable layouts and function keys give access to just about any parameter within seconds. ID-CONSOLE will help you focus your attention where it belongs: on the audio you are recording, editing or mixing.
The basic unit alone features a large amount of direct hardware controls. You can step through and assign the available individual Nuendo channels or channel banks to the available hardware motor faders and encoder dials. Using the optionally available fader modules, you can extend your direct control and access up to 96 channels at once. An edit section with a jog dial, its built-in multifunctional ASCII keyboard and trackball, its master section with talk-back, phones, 3x fold-back and a control room with input and output matrix, speaker select and surround reduction keys, the direct plug-in access and the advanced channel selection features really make the ID-CONSOLE superior. Functions like Reverse and Expand set new standards in terms of workflow and usability. The intuitive Reverse mode allows the integrated keyboard to be used for functions such as track arming, Solo or Mute/CUT for channels 1 to 96, including optical controls. The stunningly effective Expand function instantly lays all channels belonging to a group on consecutive faders on the mixing surface, regardless of where they are located in the Nuendo project itself.
ID-CONSOLE is made of premium hardware components. Precision-engineered and hand-built in Germany, ID-CONSOLE has been designed with absolute attention to detail to give you not only full control but also absolute transparency in your project.

ID-MIX-VU
Created in April 2010, the ID-MIX-VU is now replacing the well-known ID-MIX. Hardware and software components are identical to the ID-MIX, but a well-known international product designer created an absolutely new chassis, whereas WK-AUDIO replaced the button caps and rotary encoders as well as the knobs. The third system generation includes new high-end 2x7 LCD displays with more contrast and clarity. We also created a new front panel layout to provide a better overview and to improve the workflow experience.
WK-AUDIO has extended its line of ID products with another specialized controller for Nuendo called ID-MIX-VU. Designed with users’ feedback and wishes in mind, ID-MIX-VU is very closely modeled on the flagship product ID-CONSOLE. Because the focus of ID-MIX-VU is on mixing, it ships without an elaborate editor.
ID-MIX-VU bases on the same fader module used in the ID-CONSOLE, which features twelve motorized, touch-sensitive faders, each equipped with a two-line LCD display for the track name and module status. It offers another twelve encoders, each with a two-line LCD display and a control range indicator, that may also be used as auxiliary channel level knobs. A FLIP function swaps assignments with the faders below. This affords users direct access to 24 level controls. In Local mode, these controls also serve to edit equalizer, aux, and studio bus parameters, and control plug-ins. With the page function, users can thus control up to 1,188 parameters. In Global mode, select functions such as gain trim, pan, or an aux bus may be controlled globally for all channels.
All tracks may be sorted in module classes. EXPAND, a function borrowed from the ID-CONSOLE, provides a side-by-side view of the signal busses connected to a given group. This allows users to manage more than 100 signal busses easily and conveniently with a remarkably compact controller unit measuring just 72 x 50 cm.
What’s more, ASCII key commands afford direct access to up to 40 more functions. ID-MIX-VU also comes with ID’s proven Control Room monitor section featuring an in/out matrix as well as Surround reduction buttons.
An optional high quality motor joystick may also be integrated.
Any mix controller designed specifically to mix in Nuendo must of course feature dedicated buttons for the Nuendo automation system (different automation modes, preview, and fill options). The transport panel is richly appointed with a jog wheel and 21 buttons serving to control markers and events.

ID-EDIT
ID-EDIT is another specialized hardware controller from WK-AUDIO, designed for Steinberg’s Nuendo Media Production System. ID-EDIT is the ideal solution for Nuendo users who require a compact, professional control surface focused on edit work and multitrack recording, rather than a complete mixing desk. Derived from the popular ID-Console, ID-EDIT shares an almost identical layout and construction with its larger brother but differs in that the individual function areas are optimized for editing and working with tracks.
As also found on the ID-Console, there is an extensive range of keys with LED indicators and track numbers to directly select Channels or Tracks numbered 1-48 or 49-96 for important functions such as CUT, SOLO or RECORD. These keys can also be used as a PC keyboard, and the ID-EDIT Controller even includes an IP65-standard trackball.
Not only can frequently-used Nuendo functions be accessed directly via the Edit Command buttons, but there are also a large number of freely-assignable keys which are ideal for use together with user-definable Nuendo Key Commands.
The weighted 60mm dial can be used for Jog, Shuttle and Scrub, as well as for diverse editing functions such as working with Trims, Fades and Zooms. In addition, extra keys to position and zoom events in the Nuendo project window are conveniently positioned directly around the dial.
The integration of the Control Room Monitor section is also exemplary, with reduction keys for Mono/Stereo, Front/Rear, LFE and L-R, meaning that the corresponding features in the Nuendo Master section are addressed directly.
