Closer to your sound
Import your favorite drum sounds and loops into sonote beat re:edit and exchange beats and sounds in your production in the most convenient, creative and fun way.
sonote beat re:edit automatically analyzes imported audio material and creates your personal sonote database. You can create personal databases by style or genre to keep your favorite beat sounds directly at hand.
When loading a drum loop into the plug-in, sonote beat re:edit analyzes the loop and selects sonotes of the same kind out of the selected database that can replace individual parts of the loop. You can exchange single sonotes in the audio loop with the randomize function or adjust each slice manually as you like.
sonote beat re:edit lets you swap the character of your loop completely without changing the rhythm of the pattern in next to no time. Replace a rock drum pattern with your favorite electronic beat sounds without loosing the groove. Or experiment with different styles and genres to create your own creative sound — it's up to you.
sonote beat re:edit comes with a fully loaded factory library to get started straight away. With three different sonote databases for acoustic, electronic and mixed beat sources your first remix is right around the corner.
sonote beat re:edit is an exclusive Cubase 7 application and is seamlessly integrated in the Cubase workflow. Audio events can be imported by drag-and-drop from the MediaBay and the project window directly into sonote beat re:edit, and reworked beat loops can easily be exported in your production with just a few clicks.
sonote beat re:edit always stays in sync with Cubase and adapts to the tempo of your project to allow realtime remixes of your productions.
Under The Hood
sonote beat re:edit automatically analyzes, extracts and categorizes tiny pieces of sounds based on the characteristics of the waveform data like loudness, attack or frequencies. These fragments of extracted sound are called "sonotes”.
sonote beat re:edit then creates databases out of the fragments and searches these databases for sounds that can replace the sonotes in the production.
