Do you own a Steinberg Key?
Full products like Cubase, Nuendo, or WaveLab come with a USB-eLicenser/Steinberg Key. If you own one of these products, the additional purchase of a USB-eLicenser/Steinberg Key is not necessary.
If you upgrade from Cubase LE or AI to Cubase Studio 5 or Cubase 5, an additional USB-eLicenser/Steinberg Key will be required.
The same applies if you want to run any of the new Steinberg VST instruments released after 1st January 2005, as these products will not contain a USB hardware protection device.
