MR816 CSX/X "TOOLS for MR"

This version of "TOOLS for MR" is not compatible with Cubase version 4.x as the Link features are not supported anymore! All Cubase version 4 users, please use "TOOLS for MR" version 1.6.0 which can be found at the bottom of this page.

Version 1.7.4 of "TOOLS for MR" for Windows includes:

• Yamaha Steinberg FW driver V.1.6.4
• Steinberg MR Extension V.1.7.4
• Steinberg MR Editor V.1.6.3
• Yamaha Steinberg FW Driver Utility V.1.1.0

Version 1.7.4 of "TOOLS for MR" for Mac includes:

• Yamaha Steinberg FW driver V.1.7.1
• Steinberg MR Extension V.1.7.4
• Steinberg MR Editor V.1.6.3

How to install

Please double click on the downloaded ZIP-file. Another double click on the "Setup.exe" (Windows) or the "Tools for MR" package (Mac) starts the installation.

Please read the "Installation Guide" inside the "TOOLS for MR" folder carefully before installation.

Windows users note: To start the Yamaha Steinberg FW Driver Utility browse to the "Utility" folder inside the downloaded "Tools for MR" folder and double click on the "ysfwutility.exe".

MR816 CSX/X Firmware Update

After applying the firmware update 1.10 master and headphone level can be adjusted independently.

You can verify the firmware version in the control panel of your MR816SX/X:

Mac OS X: Apple menu / System Preferences... / Yamaha Steinberg FW

Windows: Start menu / Control Panel / Yamaha Steinberg FW Driver

The firmware version is listed under "Main:" on the tab "MR816X" resp. "MR816CSX". For more detailed information please refer to the instructions enclosed to the firmware update.
