HALion family updates available

We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of HALion Sonic 1.6, HALion Sonic SE 1.6 and HALion 4.5.2, the latest updates to Steinberg’s popular HALion family.

The updated HALion Sonic versions introduce true multi-core support and now feature the superior MorphFilter audio effect in the FX section. Plus, HALion Sonic 1.6 comes with a convenient multi-loading option. The HALion 4.5.2 update resolves several user-reported issues.

All HALion updates are now available free of charge from the Steinberg website. For detailed information on all fixes and enhancements, please check the corresponding version histories on the download page.

Firstly, thank you for the update, however the link (for Windows) on the site does not show the download as Halion Sonic SE, only as Halion Sonic. This could confuse some users...

I have up and running smoothly HALion Sonic 1.5 (win 7 / 64) and tried to update to 1.6, but I got the error code 1603.

I inserted my original HS disk, but still got the same error.

Then I remembered that my original HS disks are upgrades from Hypersonic2. Actually, I installed first HS SE with CB6 and then upgraded to ful HS 1.5 from Hypersonic2.

Does this cause the problem? Is there's anything else I can do?

Where do I download the SE version ?
There are Only Halion Sonic and Cubase downloads. I have Nuendo.

what ever I do, I can not update Halion Sonic 1.5 (always getting 1603 error) although I have the original disk in the drive.

My original HS disks are upgrades from Hypersonic2.

Any suggestions ?

I uninstalled existing HS & HS SE and made a clean new install.

Halion Sonic works fine, I can not locate the SE content, but I hope these are already included in the SE
