Is it possible to map any sound to a keyboard note for note?

Hi there, as the title says and I'm not talking about using the groove agent. For example, I load a .wav file of someone shouting "EY!" and I want to play that sound with a keyboard and the pitch changes appropriate to the key. so lower octave keys play lower pitched notes and so fourth.

It might sound a bit resource heavy on the CPU so im not sure but does such a vst exist? Is it possible at all to do this w/ Cubase?

Aloha w,

I think what you want is a 'good-old-fashioned' Sampler.

Steinberg's sampler 'Halion 4' can do what you posted.
