please help elicence issue

Upon trying to register my second hand copy of cubase 4 which came with usb dongle, activation code box manuals ect.
As i am going to upgrade to cubase 7 when this is sorted.

When the seller origonally typed the activation code (WHICH I HAVE) in to the elicence control center did it copy the licence off the usb stick and store it on her HDD.....now does she need to copy it back to the usb stick ??

elicence accepts the activation code (WHICH I HAVE)!! but says that the licence number is not on the stick and will be in her soft licencer on her HDD.
Also does she need to unregister cubase 4 from her name in order for me to register it in my name ??

so many quesytions....
what do i need to do to get this resovled..?

The seller needs to delete the registration from his/her MySteinberg account.

Since it is not possible to transfer a license from the USB-eLicenser to a Soft-eLicenser I'm not sure what is going on there. Have you installed the latest eLCC software?

ok.....think its me just being a plonka

when i plug in the usb dongle into my pc and run the elicence control center my usb dongle appears in the program window to the left...and on the right are a list of licences....cubase 4 full licence, groove agent 3.x full licence and halion player 3.x fill licence.......so im thinking this is what i am looking for...without sounding stupid !!

so the girl i brought cubase 4 from just has to log onto her steinberg account and cancel her registration of elicence.....according to the link you supplied in the previous reply.

so once she has caceled the elicence i can reregister the licence key in my name with steinberg ready for the update to cubas e 7....
so does this all sound correct to anyone ???
