does cubase 4 need to be intalled to register usb elicence

can any 1 help on this issue is hurting my head....

does cubase 4 need to installed in order for me to register the usb elicence dongle ??? please help think im going mad.

ok thanks

also in elicence control center where my usb dongle is shown....the activation button at the top....is that where i will put my new cubase 7 update activation code?? so to update the licence key to cubase 7 .... thats if i can ever get the licence key registered in my name .

This is all new and just trying to get my head around this...... :cry:

it really is giving me a head ache

The button labeled "Enter Activation Code" is where you enter any and all activation codes. This process is completely separate from the actual applications, so that it can be done on a different computer in case your music computer is not connected to the Internet, for example.

When upgrading, the application will prompt with previous licenses that match the code you enter.
With Note Expression (VST3.5), individual notes contain their own set of controller data when played polyphonically.

Why not simply go to http://www.elicenser.net/en/, click on "more info and download" watch the "tutorial" and if you then still have questions ask here..!?
And you don“t have to have the key registered to your name, to update the license.
