Usb eLicenser not recognized by windows 7

So I been using Cubase 5 Le for awhile and decided to buy a upgrade to Cubase artist 6. But wen I connect the usb elicenser to my cpu windows say "usb not recognized". I have tried in 4 different computers. 2 win 7 64-bit, 1 win 7 32, 1 win xp..all do the say thing. Wen I go to device manage in windows it saids error code 43, no driver need or no drivers installed. I wanted to try the forums before contacting support. Some help would be appreciated.

Have you tried the advice from our Forum Knowledgebase?:

Problem: Elcc does not recognize a valid license.

Solution: Unplug and replug your elicenser, also switch ports as needed.

Thanks for the reply...Yea I tried that, and also tried reinstalling elcc in overwrite mode still nothing samething happens

update: just tried it on my Mac osx and it still didnt come up. So now Im starting to think it the usb elicenser that no good, even tho its brand new

Hmm. That may be a defective elicenser, know anybody else that has one you could try out?

Contacted support, they sent a new usb elcc and it worked like a charm
