Question for the only place I'm allowed.

Question for the only place I'm allowed.

Postby 1poorplayer » Thu Feb 28, 2013 5:11 am

I've searched high and low for the answer to my question , as I know it must be a simple one.

I CAN'T select just one track of audio when I want to edit. For example : a band records a song with 16 tracks of audio. 15 of the tracks sound perfect. One track ( lets say the bass ;) - is full of mistakes and I want to delete it. When I try to highlight that track , so I can delete it , ALL the tracks want to highlight.

I looked at groups and links and preferences and googled it and searched the forums and watched the YouTube videos and now I'm HERE , posting this because for some unknown reason I can't post a thread in the Cubase 7 section.

Can anyone give me the simple fix for this ?

Well, I'm not sure if this will be a fix but:

1.- Have you tried clicking on the channel's controls (not where the waveform is but where the solo, mute, record buttons are) and then pressing Shift then Delete (keeping the Shift down).

2.- If you don't want to delete the channel, but just the recording. Then try selecting with the mouse from an empty area at the end of your project and just selecting the bass Waveform. Then delete

You might also have the channles locked together and that's why you can't select just one. Check the mixer and see if the channels are "Linked".

Hope this helps.
