Video playback in Nuendo 5.5 trial

In process of demoing N5.5 and really loving it, but having problems viewing in the video window. QT is installed on my system, vid viewing works fine in other apps, thumbnails and audio are there but just a black video window. Any suggestions, or a missed setting? Thx in advance!

Hi Dropd9,

what kind of graphic card do you have? Does Nuendo hint you to update your drive if you open the Video Player Device Setup? (Menu: "Devices/Device Setup..."; In the popup window select "Video Player" on the left side of the screen)

Thx Bodo, less than ideal setup on a Dell laptop from a couple years ago, however no other issues playing vid via Qtime, whether standalone or in other applications such as Live 8. Just a Nuendo issue, and nothing prompts me to "upgrade a driver", just shows the window for a split second and goes black.

i couldn't read from your post if you have checked the Device setup. Please confirm you have seen a window similar to the one attached in the screen shot.
