Missing hardware option in c7 mixer (UR 824)

Ok so I updated the new ur824 tools and when I first booted up cubase the option to add hardware to the mixer rack was there and I could access the controls directly from there. Now Im having some issues that the option is only there once in awhile, more often than not its not an option. It seems that if I start a new project it works, so I went ahead started a new project and everything was good. Reopened and guess what, its gone again. Anyone else having this issue?
