Connecting to DAW via wireless = dropouts

Connecting to DAW via wireless = dropouts

Just about everyone I've worked with helping me get rid of audio dropouts, noise, etc in Cubase 6.5 using Windows 7 Pro has had me disable any wireless adapter as the very first thing I do. This includes tech support from Steinberg. Do you have to have an ad hoc wireless connection to your DAW to use Cubase iC? I use an Ethernet connection directly to my router for connectivity but I do have wireless access as well. Just not directly to my DAW. I appreciate any feedback. Thank you, Ulti
