There are users who may benefit from any workarounds offered so therefore it is useful to provide this kind of information.

It's hard to say exactly what SB will do here and if a track archive doesn't save what's on the VST Instrument rack, then an obvious solution would be to have multi-output instrument tracks (which has been promised at various stages) but that of course does not fix the routing situation and I believe this is due to no routing being available from the inspector.

I give up.

No.

Completely independent 8-)

Can't think of a better company to support though however, so let's make a toast to SB!

Cubase 7 released 5th of December. You join the day before and have over 700 posts since. All of which I have seen are either blindly or naively defending C7 regarding legitimate issues pointed to by professional/experienced users. Why?

If emotive didn't bounce user names like we change underwear he would be king poster on these forums.

In addition to the weird defenses of the Borgz we get Grandfatherly advice ... only the granddad is senile and can't quite put a sentence together that pertains to anything.

Terrific news Helge... ! Thanks for posting.

Big thanks to you all at SB for listening/acting so soon; I wholly apologise for saying I was sure we may not see anything by way of a solution, for quite a while yet.

(Please consider a quick note in the Nuendo forums too, if not done so already; I'm sure that will go down well also..! ;) )

Now, can't wait for the Trial edition in March or so...

Congratulation to all that battled Steinberg and emotive on this matter. Case closed.

Steinberg, thanks for listening.

PS. We are notified over at the Nuendo forum as well.

I would love to meet them, but please don't include me in any conspiracy or otherwise imply that the company are embattled in some way.

Really brains, sometimes it just better to be quiet!

I was really hoping that maybe, just maybe, Steinberg would have put in a neater solution.

But otherwise thanks for acting quickly, I'll wait to see what other things hve been fixed and consider upgrading after :P

Nothing stopping SB from improving the feature later on so that it works only internally, hint FXP/FXB.

What I really would like them (the company) to do is, make an XML editor for things like Drum Maps, GM remote pages and something akin to VMX, kind of like a companion app that could edit key command files as well for example and turn us all into computer nerds (not that I'm not already that way inclined) :ugeek:

You sure did all in your power to destroy for those who just asked to get a heavily used feature back. If it weren't for you, we would have gotten this back in only 4 pages (instead of 12).

I still don't get it, why you stir up a place like this? Even on a matter you either really don't know enough about, or really don't care about. Let alone have been using in larger productions (that shines through).

And I'm trying again. Who are you? How old are you? What work do you do? What kind of studio/business do you run?
Not that I care so much, but I dare you anyway.

Me and others got what we want, and I have been spending my spare time wisely. May this thread rest in peace.

Again Steinberg, thanks for listening.

Aka you write for yourself. I see.

I also see why you don't need features some of us other needs in larger productions, aka album work, sharing/importing/exporting to and from other studios/producers/labels.

But I can't see why you need to argue against a massive group of experienced engineers/producers/mixers/studio owners and highly proffesionals. And against their workflow, needs and wishes?
I haven't hard as much *flower*, from anyone, in a very very long time. Sorry to say.

Now that this battle is over, I'm heading over to the Nuendo forum again.

Fantastic news, thank you profusely to all at Steinberg for this. It's a massive relief, and it's great that you understand how critical this feature is for us! Cheers.

I just don't believe this guy. Even after we're promised the feature back, he's complaining about it! What a moron and a half.

Thanks guys, I'm very happy to hear that this feature will return, I've been using Cubase 6.5 ever since I realized it was gone in version 7. I look forward to being able to mix an album on Cubase 7.

7.0.2 Mixconsole load / save (vmx) Doesn't recall volumes

Postby R3myBoy » Mon Feb 18, 2013 5:57 pm

I've just tested the vmx featured which had been removed.

I now can save Mixconsole tracks settings from one project to a vmx file.

The problem is that loading those tracks in another project doesn't recall the volumes of those tracks ..

Anyone has the same issue ? any workaround ?

I'm on Mac OSX 10,6,8 and 10,8,2

Thanks ...
