Driver set in cubase. Should i set it in windows also?

Hi, I have my interface set up as the driver when im in cubase le5 (tascam us-122). Do i need to change this to the chosen driver for windows aswell to get the optimum performance. Thanks for your answers!

Wont make ant difference to performance, but if you do set it for windows make sure your windows sound scheme is set to none.
