Zoom R16

Zoom R16

Postby JoelSolo » Tue Jan 15, 2013 10:24 pm

My dad got me a Zoom R16 audio interface, and I have no idea what it is, how it works, or how to use it. I would like to be able to use it to record music, so I would like to know what it is for and how to use it with Cubase.

Lucky you 8-)

It's a really cool box that can do loads, far more than can be explained quickly on a forum.

Pop open the instruction manual and start at the beginning.

When you get really stuck, come back with some specifics and you'll get plenty of advice :P

Sweet!

In a nutshell, this is not only a stand alone multi-track recorder with mixer, but is loaded with just about everything you need in the box, and can take it anywhere. Plus it's acts as a sound card/interface for your computer to connect all your instruments into, interfacing with the included Cubase recording program for more elaborate recording/editing etc. This is among the coolest pieces of recording tools for the home recordist/musician.

The only thing more awsome is a Zoom R-24 ... which I've been eye eyeballing myself :)

Give your dad a hug & tell him you love him! 8-)
