Re: Does JBridge work with UAD-1 card in PCI slot?

Hi together,

you can't use UAD-1 Plugs with 100% Functionality by using j-bridge. If you using uad 1 card together with j-bridge, you always can use and open only one plug in. That's it. But the good thing is, you can use uad 1 with the cubase bridge. There is no need in 64 bit cubase for j-bridge. Just put the powerd plugin dll. in steinberg vst folder and everything is good. There are absolutly no problems to use uad-1 with the cubase bridge. I have running two uad-1 cards in C6.07, 7.07 and 7.510. All is perfect.

Greets

Great to know, atarifalcon030, thanks!

Can you say - is it possible for the Cubase bridge to be active (for UAD-1) and JBridge (for other 32-bit plug-ins) to be active at the same time?

I've not used either yet ...

Alexis yes that's how I run it at the moment. I use JBridge for 32 bit pluginns bridged to 64 bit and UAD1 through cubase bridge. I tried the JBridge with UAD for a couple of hours without success, so I rolled back as it was !

UAD 1 does however work in Cubase bridge but I thought I would be able to run more plugs at the same time on Jbridge bit with no success :-(

Re: Changing Sample and bit Rate on existing project

If you convert the sample rate it will not after the conversion sync with your midi track(s)

The only solution is to bounce your midi tracks to audio before you convert them all to a higher rate.

Hope this will help !

Re: no sound

go to devices > then > vst connections > then output.

Is your soundcard selected there under device port when you create a "add buss"

If not go to Devices, then device setup , then VST Audio system. On the right top > is the soundcard ASIO Driver selected ?

If you do make changes to this just go back to your audio track and select the output again to stereo out. Hopefully it will play back now !

Re: Is i7-4770K integrated graphics enough for Cubase?

if you don't work with video then your integrated graphics will be good enough

if you work for film and television get a decent card

Re: About the new feature resizable and ZOOM any VST GUI?

im on windows 7 , but i think only few Vst can be resized by design, which would resize also in cubase 7, as kontakt' haion 5' beat designer, vst bass amp.
its depends on plugins design and not the host probably

Yes I know but is a the new feature advertised, a total new "game changer" in Cubase PRO 8.

In Cubase PRO 8 your should be able to take any VST you have
that aren't resizable by design, and resize its VST-GUI to your own liking.

You can now set individual size on all your VSTs and plugins you have installed that weren't resizable before. That new feature doesn´t work yet in Cubase PRO 8. Not here anyway.

So my question to Steinberg is should it work like that or not as advertised or have we misunderstand anything?
Because it doesn't work here on my setup yet?

Best Regards
Freddie

As the smaeLike ZOOM as Windows Magnifier "[win-key]" + "[+ or -]" buttons.

Re: Cubase 8 and Spectrasonics Plug-Ins

I run RMX/ Trilian and Omnisphere.

It's also not rock solid here also. However I can save a project without bombing out. But they seem unresponsive.

|Try the following: Go to the plugin manager and rescan them, but close your project first. Press the small "i" left bottom and then > right to the plugin information click the "i" with the arrow down

Try now if it works better

Re: the w7 Aero hacks thread

You can also do the following :

In Win 7 > Control Panel / Appearance Personalization / Change window glass colors / ( Windows Color and Appearance )

Play around with Color intensity slider or disable Transparency in conjunction with "desktop background color" > "dark blue" so far looks the best for me at least :ugeek:

But still I really hate this new feature with a passion !!!

Re: Getting Better Performance of Cubase 7.5 in W7?

Try the following but be carefull:

Go to Task Manager / Processes / when cubase is runnung what is the average Kernel Value under ( memory ) ? Right click on cubase / go to set priority / What does it say ? set to high ! and also right click and check "sett affinity to : all prosessors and make sure all 8 is ticked.

You have a powerfull system (as mine) although I have much more RAM

Make a new dummy project open for this:
Do the following test. take a project with say 10 tracks ( stereo audio ) and dublicate them a few times to get say 80 to 100 tracks, then go to pool and convert them to say 96 khz and 32 bit float > check now if your kernel value goes up while cubase is converting ?

Re: Cubase 7 sounds better than 8 here at first sight

Ok, feedback from one europes leading mastering studios chief mastering engineer. His quote: "The Cubase 8 mix lacks definition and body". Basically the same what I find here in my studio. I submitted three file pairs: 1) Stereo bounce of a single stereo track with just a volume change. 2) Stereo bounce of a single stereo track with a lexicon native reverb via fx send. 3) a complete mixdown from a project - basicalls 30 tracks mixed via my high end studer 961 console. All of them sound better in 7 than in 8. I am trying to inform Steinberg.

thank you for the feedback :ugeek:
