So 7.5 is here (almost)

Well on Dec 4th. Really looking forward to trying it.

It looks fantastic, and there are even score enhancements :D

Re: 7.5 at Last!

f.e wrote:So guys, how is it going ?

What about :
- video files reading ?
- 3rd party plugins ?
- old projects ?
- cpu load ?

Everything seems fine so far. It will prpbably take a while to properly evaluate things like CPU and ASIO perforance, but it seems to be working very well.

Re: Does converting sample rate on import affect audio quali

Changing sample rate won't make any difference to noises in the recording.

Re: Mixer in Cubase 8

Removing the option is not really helpful to anyone.

Re: Cubase 8 = AWESOME - but... cannot autohide task bar?

There are few things more annoying than the taskbar deciding to pop up when I'm working near the bottom of the screen. Much more annoying than having to use a key combination to bring it up when I need it.

Multikey commands

I would love to be able to have a shortcut key that requires TWO following keys to be pressed to execute the command, e.g. [Shortcut key] +[Q+1]. This would enable a vast numberof key commands and macros to be easily mapped to the keyboard.

Macro launchpad window.

I would love a window where macros could be launched easily using onscreen buttons. There aren't really enough keys on a computer keyboard, and a launchpad window would be great for using macros without using (or having to remember) keyboard shortcuts.

Re: Why does Nuendo exist? Why not just use C Pro 8?

Nuendo is aimed at post-production, where you need different features. The ADR taker, just by itself, would be worth the price of Nuendo.

Steinberg like to think of Cubase as the flagship music DAW and Nuendo as the flagship post DAW, and both have exclusive features; but you can add Cubase tools to Nuendo using the NEK.

There are features in Nuendo that are as useful to music production as they are to post, such as AAF import/export, the advanced crossfade editor, and (arguably) multiple marker tracks. This makes the notion that Cubase is the flagship music DAW questionable.
