Hello Leo,

Here is a .ISO disc image of the Sequel 3 installer for Mac and PC:

http://support.steinberg.de/ISOs/Sequel_3.0.1.iso

This image must be mounted on your operating system to run the installer. Mac OSX 10.? and Windows 8 operating systems are able to mount images after downloading, however if you are running Windows 7 or lower the .ISO disk image must either be burned to a DVD-R to run the .exe installer or if you do not have a DVD-R burner you can download an .ISO disk image mounter for Windows called clonedriver here:

http://www.slysoft.com/en/virtual-clonedrive.html

Thank You

Hello Leo,

Sorry for any confusion. The link I provided in the last post is the download link for Sequel 3 from the Steinberg server. It provides both the Windows (.exe) and Mac (.dmg) installers. You must download the link, which is a .iso disk image (an image of a physical disk installer). Windows 8 and all Mac OSX operating systems can mount an image for you without any additional steps, meaning you can use the installers immediately after downloading it.

The instructions I provided were in case you were running a Windows 7 operating system (because you didn't specify your operating system) in which case you would need to burn the downloaded image to a DVD-R in order to run the installer. Or if you do not have a DVD burn, you can use the link to the software that will mount an image for you on Windows 7.

I hope that helps clear up your confusion a little. If not you can find several related videos on Youtube of how to mount or burn a disk image in Windows.

Hi Joel thanks for your help so far
I am still extremely confused.

I really don't understand what I am supposed to do.

I have downloaded S3 from your link but do not understand what an iso is why I need to burn one where it is and how to burn one.

Heres where I am.......

I have downloaded S3 from your link it is on my system.

I have received a new activation code from SB

I do not have any e license to enter the code into.

Please understand my knowledge of PC's is very v limited.

I have had to reinstall s3 before and I did not have to burn DVds etc.

I would really appreciate more help so that I can get s3 working again

thanks

paul

problem solved I needed an activation code - as I thought I did not need to burn any DVD images -
