Focusrite Control 2802 and Cubase 7 Conflict

I have recently purchased the Focusrite Control 2802 and have been having serious conflicts. The 2802’s functionality is fine until I enter a project and use the transport mechanism. When I do start the project scrolling, instantly all of the functions cease to work, start/stop/rewind–all of it–just stops functioning in its entirety. The tech people at Focusrite don’t have an answer. This is a manufacturer refurbished unit. I suspect when it left their facility it worked fine, but my belief it is something in its connectivity with Cubase 7.5. The 2802 worked great for 2 days, then all of this happened. I don’t know who to turn to.

Hi Jim,

Sorry to hear that you’re having some problems with your 2802. Is this issue currently being dealt with by our Technical Support Team? If so, do you have a case number?

If it’s not being dealt with for any reason please let me know and I will look into this for you.

Best regards,

Yes, thank you for your involvement. The case # is 412241. They are sending me a replacement today. Unfortunately, this will be the third Focusrite I will have received. This has become a very unpleasant experience for me. However, all of the folks in the support team have been most helpful and accommodating.

Hi Jim,

Sorry to hear that you’ve had a bad experience, I hope that the new unit will rectify the problems you have been having.
