If you mute side channel on any stereo track, Cubase’s spectrum analyzer in channel editor and in Studio EQ shows nothing.
EQ changes affect the side channel, but the analyzer works with mid only. Not sure this is bad, b there could be some misleading situations about it, if you rely on that analyzer.
