Audio to Origin won't move before project start..Fix?

I did this all the time in DP and didn’t think it was going to be a problem here in Cubase…

Basically when I’m writing a cue that goes into a song, I import the movies audio file (split Dialog Right, Music Left) and I just throw it into a session and move to TimeStamp (origin - Cubase). This audio file will be the entire length of the episode - 45 min or so. So say i’m working on a cue that is at 20 minutes in, and I want to import this audio file… DP will just chop everything that is “off screen” or before the timeline and boom… good to go.

But in Cubase, seemingly, it gives me this error saying “Cannot move, audio origin is before project start…” or something like that.

Is there a way to just tell it to not care about that and chop the audio?

My current work around is to set the project at 1:00:00:00 move audio to origin. THEN set my measure 1 to my cue start and say “Keep at bar position”…

I mean it’s not like the end of the world to do that… just kinda random that it can’t do this…

Thanks for any insight!
