Midi keyboard recommendations?

Midi keyboard recommendations?

Postby fourfourfun » Mon Jul 01, 2013 9:43 am

Looking for something TINY to chuck in a bag with the iPad, maybe to pair with the Macbook. What are users out there using?

Naturally the Launchkey looks awesome, but it is too big to lug around. Want something that is truly diddy and portable.

I'm using Akai LPK25 with my iPad 2
LPK25 works without power with the iPad but it lacks pitchbend and modwheel...
It has a nice programmable arpeggiator and sustain though...
Was thinking of getting a Launchkey too, but I agree, they are to big...

Best, Winger

I'm using the LPK25 too and I like it. I was also considering the M Audio Keystation 32 but as it turned out, my local place was out of stock so I bought the LPK25 instead. The iRig Keys also looks worth considering even though it's twice the price because it connects directly to the iPad without the camera adapter, so if you haven't already bought a camera adapter, overall it costs about the same. It also has USB for PC/Mac.

Hi,

I also got my fingers on the iRig Keys. It is small, fits in the backpack and does what it is suposed to do.
