I do this all the time-I’ve got all the volcas due to a severe case of G.A.S-I don’t like the sequencers on any of them but love their sound and find the midi timing in cubase to be excellent so just use them as sound modules-I like how you can highlight a row of step entries in the piano roll and drag them up or down to change the sound it’s triggering or to and fro to change the timing-have fun
