Oh, if you have things on the master buss, remove them. If you want, you can send me one with the masterbuss effects and one without.

I'm 99% certain it was recorded in 16-bit. I don't think I have the wav file here anyway so I'll have to re-export regardless, just as much effort sticking a dither on it and exporting to 24-bit, unless you can somehow do the conversion in a superior way?

Good call on the above, will do that.
Software: Steinberg Cubase Artist 6.5.5 64-bit.
Hardware: HP elitebook 8530b with W7 Home 64-bit

Analog: Alesis M1 - Behringer Powerplay Pro-XL - Studio Projects C3 - AKG K612Pro
Instruments: Yamaha DTX750k - Yamaha MO-6 - Waldorf Blofeld - Korg Wavedrum WDX.
3rd party plugins: Native Instruments Prism - Rob Papen Distort - Rob Papen Delay

Just spoke to the singer/guitarist and he's allright with it.

Only problem: source is 16-bit, not 24. Want me to convert it to 24 or just throw you the 16-bit?
And where is this dropbox?

Ok, lastly. I need more tail to the song to fade it. If you can reopen the project and give me more tail, that would be great too! Don't get any funny ideas either!

Cubase processes in 32bit float. Just export in 24 bit and you will be fine. It sounds like you used VST instruments in the song and those extra bits will benefit from being exported in 24bit.

If you send 2 different ones, master buss fx and one not, no dither please. It gets real nasty when you dither something a number of times, regardless of the algo that is doing it. It gets additive.

Tom: PM me your email on Facebook. I'll grant you admin rights on the Box account so that you can grant Editor access to the contributors in addition to me since my power is still down. I can follow along on my iPhone, but that's the extent of it for the most part save for the rare times when I have WiFi access.

Matt Mead, who is contributing, is the other guitarist in my band. He pointed me in the direction of another radio station that has given him airplay in the past, and I've reached out to that station's owner.

Robin, I added both you and JSW to the list. I haven't had a chance to talk to Glyn since I'm still without power so my ability to get online is spotty at best. Have you spoken with him? If not I'll shoot him an email and explain what's happening since I know he'd love to be a part of this if he possibly can.

I will, as soon as I am able, be uploading submissions from Lenny and my friend Matt Mead. Other than that, I need people's email addresses. As of now I only have 4 entered in Box's user list.

Due to the overwhelming response so far - THANKS! - I'm asking people to upload to the Workspace folder. Tom will upload final mixes to the Final Mixes folder (recently renamed to this). I will update the first post with this information.

He wishes to convey his respects to Larry and to all involved, and that he's happy to contribute Motherless Child - if it fits, just grab the wave from the Haiti site Also anything that he's done stuff on, eg Hunger or Ian's orchestral piece if Larry or Ian want to contribute those.

Ah, I just now saw this! I will ask him about contributing Heart Be Still, since that seems appropriate. :)

Tom and I discussed this and decided that we were "release" the songs in 2 groups of 8. At a typical song length of ~3:00 per song that's 24-25 minutes per compilation. However, I will be making individual songs available for download as Bandcamp allows one to do.

Here, however, is a sign that things are starting to take off: after Nicola donated a track, one of her musician friends from a band called Iridesense just reached out to me on Facebook asking if we still needed tracks.
