I'm old fashioned and regard this 'holiday' period as Christmas, but whatever it means to you guys, have Happy and Peaceful one :) .

Ha!

Actually it does!!!!

I live about a mile up 'Haleakala Volcano Mountain'
and about a mile up from me it has been know to snow on occasion.

When this happens, locals drive up, load up their pick-ups with snow
and then race back down the mountain to throw snowballs
at all the nude people on the beach.

Ouch!!

And I move all the way from Toronto to Maui just to be a mile
away from more snow. —go figure :)

Lincoln NE isn't L.A. ;) (And I'm pretty sure it snows plenty over there...)
I guess the only problem you'll encounter there is strange looks every time they hear your accent...

I love Bing Crosby's version of the song "Melekalikimaka". Brings back some good memories from my childhood (and of the Christmas Vacation movie). 8-)

Hoping for happy holidays to all and a great 2014. :)

Yes, I've been watching it. Aren't the Norwgians glamorous? The club that the guys are running in the show is an actual night spot where I played with my band a couple of times. That was more than 20 years ago and before the world of DAW made fellow musicians an excess (crossing my fingers that my cellist wife is not reading the Cubase forum  )
