removing left channel of stereo track

How can I delete the left channel of a stereo track on which I accidentally recorded an instrument and vocal together? I would then like to make the remaining vocal channel a mono track. Any help much appreciated. (I was hoping “subtract” would work, but I see it does not.) Thanks.

Pan the track fully right and export it to a mono channel. Very easy to do. If you need further help just let me know.

Makes sense, but could you walk me through it – is it File>Export>Selected Tracks ?

  • Set the Locators around the part you want to export. Do this by selecting the events and pressing the P key on the keyboard.
  • Go to File → Export → Audio Mixdown
  • On the left side, select the track you want
  • On the right side, select mono export
  • All other settings will depend on what type of file you want and where you want it to go. So you need to make those settings yourself.
