I had a similar issue back in the Nuendo 3 days. My situation was that my PC was poorly built and caused it to overheat. I tried swapping the RAM, thinking it was bad memory, but I think it was a crappy Motherboard that was causing all the extra heat. I had it rigged with an AC unit that blew air directly into it. That was my workaround. Hey laugh if you want, but it worked.
