new plugins vst need to know how

I am trying to find the path to use new vst plugins. I dont know how to set the dll path hope someone can walk me through it thanks

Or, if you are asking what I think you are, it is dependent on the OS.
On XP/32 they usually live in the public folder.
This is at C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTplugins, or sometimes (rarely but it happens) C:\Program Files\VSTplugins.

Then there is the host’s locked, private plugin folder. You can install 3rd party plugins to this fgolder, but only that host will be able to “see” them if you do. In my case, these are at (where “x” is the version number)
C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Nuendox\VSTplugins, or
C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubasex\VSTplugins, or
C:\Program Files\Steinberg\WaveLab x\system\VSTplugins
