Nevermind, figured it out.
Turns out after the crash, it messed up jbridge. After hours of isolating different vsts, I found 2 that were causing the hangup. I re-bridged the vsts, and it works again.
Hopefully this might help anyone in a similar situation. I’m hoping Cubase 7 vsts are more stable than Cubase 5’s vsts.
