Legacy RME HDSP 9652 PCI card in an Asus P8Z77-V/Pro/deluxe?

Hey guys,

I’ve been thinking about getting this board for my older PCI RME soundcard. I just never really found out if it works great, in terms of low latency performance (< 128), stability?

Has any of you guys this combination running as you DAW, and with great success? I hope some of you guys have this combination, and can tell a little about it

Thanks, and all the best,
SLL

the Z77 does NOT have native PCI support.
however RME is one of the few that seems to work ok without the native support.

Thanks a lot Scott for the reply. Yep, I know about the bridge thing from PCI → PCIe. And that’s also why a was a little scared, that I had to buy a new RME PCIe I/O card. Currently I’m on an older Asus P5K deluxe mobo, which has served me well over the years. But everything is starting to get slow now, so I have to make a move to Z77 or wait for Z87.

But good to know from a pro, that it “should” be working fine in a bridged Asus Z77 board
