midi sound gets stuck

Using Sequel 3, after playing midi for a few minutes a sound for a note I just hit gets stuck; continues to play forever. For example, if I am playing a string instrument, even if I am not pressing the key I hear it on my computer as if I never lifted my finger from the key. I need to close and reopen Sequel to fix the problem, but then if happens again in a few minutes. I noticed I have the same problem using GarageBand and Logic Pro. Makes me think that the problem has to do w/my setup. This problem makes my system completely useless and I would really appreciate help. Here is my setup:

Keyboard/synth: Korg (micro KORG)
Desktop: OS X 10.8.4 with 3.2GHz CPU and 8GB ram
Usb interface: M-Audio Fast Track C-400

Thanks,
Berk

Aloha b,

A shot in the dark here.
On your Korg, do you have ‘Local Off’ enabled?

I ask because this sounds like a MIDI loop prob.

HTH (hope this helps)

Thanks for the reply. I tried that and it didnt help. : ( Anything else I can try?

type in “mac midi utility program” in to google and see which ones allow you to monitor the out going signal to find out if your keyboard is transmitting some sort of sysex and confusing you apps …One ive noticed is “snoise” but not having a mac I couldn’t tell you if it works or not .
