Exporting does not stop at end of track

Postby dennis » Thu May 02, 2013 4:34 am

Hi,

For one project I am working on when I export the song, the export does not stop where all of the instrument parts and audio events end but continues on for another 4 bars. On this project this adds about 10 seconds of nothing after the song is complete.

I have tried the following to try and resolve this issue but nothing has worked so far. I have tried exporing with different file formats, bouncing tracks, removing audio events which were not used in the final song, saving the project under different file names, shutting down and restarting.

I have also searched for any other stray instrument parts and audio events located after the song, but have not found any.

I think it may just be one of those times were the marker that defines the end of the track is stuck and will not reset as I have moved the tracks around.

Any advice will be appreciated,

Thanks.

i always export it then drag it back into S3 to finish mastering it and then just snip off the end.

Bit of a pain but it works for me.

You can create one performance track the length of the song and export when that's on.

You can also automate the master fader to 0 just after the end of your track. The export will stop once the master fader hits bottom. This seems to work for me - the perfromance track idea is a good one too.

Cheers,
Caius
