Sounds like a good setup. I was curious because you’re the first that found the mix harsh.
I mixed “Kate” on Event 20/20s which are very flat response monitors. They make almost everything sound good so it may be hard to pinpoint any overtaking frequencies. Def not in the 8040 price class.
