I have been around for a few years now, but am basically still rubbish at techy set up issues.
After a serious system crash, I installed a new SSD drive and am on the very long road to reinstalling Cubase 6 and all my vsts. Currently I have succeeded in installing Cubase and TruePianos. I have C6 working essentially on default settings; that is, I have it running on my Saffire Asio and I have one MIDI track only in my project.
The track MIDI input is set to RD series (rather than all) for my RD 700NX keyboard.
Currently I am worknig in stereo with the Control Room Disabled.
For some reason the mute fuction is not working - the yellow box marked M in the mixer and track
I can hear sound, and loading another VST does not seem to help either. Looking in MIDI port set up everythnig seems fine, six MIDI ports active (but only one selected in the channel strip), all the MIDI outs are set to inactive.
All updates have been applied to Cubase, VSTs, and Saffire Asio driver.
Any ideas folks?
