What I see also an DZ77 - Intel-Desktop Board is used on your side, I am also using that - maybe thats the problem because Intel Boards have really bad bioses at the moment and much instabilty is caused by that boards!!
Btw. my old comp also with win 8, I don't have that problem with C7.06 and Virus.
Access Change Log wrote:About TIOS 5.0.4
Resolved issues, refinements and new features:
• VC: Limited parameter automation in Ableton Live when using Audio Unit plug-in (fixed)
• Revised documentation (updated Reference Manual, updated Sequencer Guides)
• Side chaining into audio instruments is currently not supported in Steinberg Cubase. This
issue needs to be addressed by Steinberg.
• Ableton Live still changes MIDI timing of tracks recorded with Virus Control instantiated.
This issue needs to be addressed by Ableton.

reinstalled Virus 5.04 driver x64.
My system is W7 64, intel 3930k, 16Gb ram, RME fireface 800, MB P9X79, UAD octo.
I repeat I can't work with projects working fine in 7.05. On the other side I had to upgrade because of the UAD.
GO56 wrote:Yes it does make a difference. I meant to say that in the previous post. If the virus is the first instrument in the rack in 7.06 it is stable and does not crash. But if you have older projects that have the plugin in another rack slot, the project will not load and gives the virusupdater crash message. Hope this helps.
