Cubase 6.5.5 crashing when i quit the program

Hi,

I just installed the Cubase 6.5.5 update, and everytime i close the program, it crashes for some reason.
This never happened when i was in Cubase 6.5.0 . So im a bit worried about this, cause now its happening only when i quit the program. But maybe in the future its gonna happen in the middle of a session. Im on a Mac, mountain lion.

Has anyone experienced this ? I read the crash log, and i think it has something to do with Novation Automap, but i cannot read those code lines really well, so im not positive about that, and also because i tried not opening Automap, and still cubase crashes when i quit the program.

Thanks for your time,

Aloha A.
A couple of ‘shots in da dark’ here.

One approach would be to move your ‘Preference’ folder
(to somewhere like the desktop) and then re-start
Cubase and then try quitting.

If the prob goes away you now know there is something
in that folder causing the issue.

Re: Novation Automap
Not specifically that product but I have heard that this shut down issue
can also be cause by some 3rd party apps/plugs/interfaces etc
still ‘holding on’ at time of quit.

Also,
Is all your stuff (hard and software) running at 32 bit or 64 bit?
Or are you using a combination of both?

And the big one for me is:

This never happened when i was in Cubase 6.5.0

Perhaps some corruption ‘sneaked in’ during download or installation.
Might help to re-download and re-install the .5 update.

This is a link on a similar topic. Might be helpful to you.
