SOLVED: Way to restrict MIDI recording to certain channels?

Postby islandmusicpro » Wed Nov 13, 2013 5:58 pm

Hi all,
just what it says above. I had terrible phasing issues from a piano plugin recently, before figuring out that there were three MIDI events recorded for every note I played. My piano sends on three layers, different channel each. I know I can switch that off, but I'd rather not... ;)
I also know about the existence of the Input Transformer in it's various incarnations, but C7 seems to have lost those handy presets!
Ideas?

Cheers,
Benji

I think you mean the "Pass Channel 1" preset.

Filter target:'Channel'
Condition: 'Unequal'
Parameter 1: '1'

The presets should be in the app folder, maybe they didn't get copied to the user presets folders. You don't say which platform so I don't have filepaths for you, but it's something like /presets/Input Transformer.

Steve,
real quick: I found the presets. Where do they need to go in order to show up in Cubase? I don't have a userpresets folder... :-(

EDIT: Nevermind, I just found them: They are in the hidden "Username"\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Cubase\Presets folder!

Thx Steve!
